Wow I must be getting old, that isn't the Wesport River bridge I remember. :( But I do remember catching some fish near that rock and a bunch of other places in the river. smile.gif

Jerry,

Looks great, and it has an extension stick as well. No stopping you now. You will get used to that stick and will never go back! Power, steering, all in one hand. It's the best way to drive.

Very nice boat! Got any shots of it running fully on plane? I'd like to see her fully trimmed out. Heck, I'd just like to see more shots period. Outboard utilities are a particular interest of mine, so it's nice to see the details on a well turned out example.

I always liked the extended tiller for small outboards, although I prefer a piece of 2" PVC slit and hose-clamped over the handle to the store bought extensions. The disadvantage to this approach with Mercuries is that the kill button is blocked so I simply used the kill switch to shut the motor down.

I will test it with a G.P.S. this weekend, - also try to get a pic while underway. --- The herring are here and I'm sure that the bass are close behind, it's been a long winter. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid164/p2d5fa4ed659a7b5fb27cd6b8e8a55cb8/f4833acd.jpg

Hello All:
Been fishing a couple of times but keep forgetting the gps. Got the boat trimmed to my liking. Tried it whithout a fin and it went 25.8 added a fin on the outboard and it went 24.5. The loss of 1.3 mph was worth it in driveability. The test were done with 2 adults on board and a full tank, (6gal). It's a better boat with a doel fin than it is without. J.M. smile.gif
