Well, okay. It was more like a two month canoe but my grandneighbor has a busy schedule and I'm getting lazy in my dotage.

The hat from The WoodenBoat Shop with her boat's name on the back went over pretty well too.

Naturally there are many more pictures of her building efforts here ( http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4286018567&code=11130003&mode=invite&cmp=EMC-IS_other&creative=album-invite ) .

Jo is the last of the grandneighbors to build a boat. But then Daniel has out grown his One Sheet Skiff and is eyeing a couple of sheets of okoume I have stashed away which he thinks might make a nice little kayak....

Great job! (dust mask with that sander, though)

I think Norm's becoming a wooden boat pusher.

First he lets them sample with a six-hour canoe, then once he has them addicted ....

Within 300 yards of a school too. HOLY SCHMOLY! Now there's a thought.

I think you've inspired me Norm. I have been trying to think about a way to get some of these kids around here off the video games!
I think I'll go pay a visit to the recreation department director and a building supply store or two...Might as well go big or go home!

Looks great, Norm. Joanna did a fine job. She'll enjoy it; I've spent many a nice Sunday morning on the bayou with mine. And for what it's worth, my "6-hour canoe" took three and a half months.
