Why is it.......
That out of four strings of three wire Christmas lights, on three of the strings, only half the lights of each string work? Does anyone else have this situation? Sure is puzzling.

The enginering is easy, its keeping things straight at the factory, so that each set of lights have just enough but not to many bad connections. They have perfected it over the years. But it was not always that way. No, they used to actually let a few good sets out.

The freakin things are dirt cheap so I just buy new ones every year.
Who needs that frustration?

Yup, ya got a bad bulb(s) check a few spare bulbs, then start replacing 1 at a time and checking the ones removed before reusing it. How do I know this? I just spent an hour doing it.TALLY HO

Most of the lights I have will be broken down in half. Each half will have a control bulb to control its half of the lights. If that bulb burns out or needs replacing it will turn the lights off for that whole section. Thus if half the lights are out, go the the first bulb in that section and replace it and the lights should work.
