I will read just about anything put in front of me. I tend more toward the sailing or the fantasy type books and will mix in the ocasional "classic". The other day though while wandering around the used book store and I wandered into the historical fiction section. Just so you know I depend a lot on catchy titles and a well written back cover when aimlessly wandering and looking for books.

Well this paticular book caught my eye, "Comanche Dawn" by Mike Blakely. This books is about the birth of the Comanche nation and how the introduction of the horse brought this about.

An excellent book so far.

Chad, I love it that you are such an advocate of reading. It really expands the mind's horizons.

I tell the students at my work that reading, particularly reading good literature, is a workout for the brain - it keeps the mind from becoming flabby.

Almost finished this book and it is great. How many others read historical fiction? I've read "The Bastard" series by John Jakes and it was great also.
