I'm flying down to Annapolis on Friday with my son to check out St Johns college. I have about 3-4 hours to spare before catching a plane back. What should I see while there? Any recommendations for a resturant with good crabcakes?

Go to the harbor, and walk around the docks.

Some of the best looking sailboats anywhere.

Not all plastic either: quite a few were wood when I was there maybe five years ago.

Navel accadamy museum. A very impressive ship model collection.

definately,,the model museum.
If it's a hot day then get a rootbeer float at Storm Bro. and sit at the end of ego alley to watch the scene. Take the water taxi over to the Chart House then walk through Backyard boats to look at used stuff, walk across Eastport on second Ave. and take a left before what's left of McNasbys at the water and find a bench looking over the bay/Back Creek.

You really need to postpone that return flight about a week or 3...

Thanks for the replies.
When I got home this evening I found out my kid is invited to stay two days (9/30-10/2) at St John's and read Plato(lucky terd). So instead of flying he and I will drive.
Thursday evening and Friday I'll check out Annapolis and do some bike riding, On Saturday (10/2) I'll take a drive down to St Michaels and check out the Mid-Atlantic Small Craft Festival at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. This trip is getting better and better!
