W  W WINDY !!!
First think I would like to highly recommend the "SeaLife reef master" camera case.

If I did not have this today you all would not be enjoying the photos you are now.
I know that may come as a disappointment to some < grin>
Took on lots of water today and the camera case floated. More on that later.
Crisp October day me and lucky hooked up the skiff to the jeep and hit the road

Driving down into town I always check the wind by looking at the flag on top of the gazebo. You can almost make it out in the bottom the photo.

Down at the cove the sun was just dancing through the trees. Beautiful cove.

There are some free moorings to the north side of the cove hmmm might be a nice place to moor a catboat one day hmmm

Parked the jeep and removed the straps

I have been to this cove a million times and I never noticed this sign.

I had to take the photo for Sam F <grin>
All rigged and ready to go. This photo is deceiving, it is the one moment the wind was not howling.

This was more like it

Now there are not many more photos of me sailing. IMPOSSIBLE to hang out on the rail and hold the sheet and grip for dear life in the strong wind as the rail ships in the Hudson.

It was a blast but WOW SOME SHAKY MOMENTS
This gives you an idea of how much FUN it was.

As you can see that's why one of my winter projects is to build mahogany floor boards.
Thank God for drain plugs

Nice! We took our skiff out Saturday to see the Queen Mary II. Lots of wind, lots of fun! :D
Steven
Are you coming to Portland this weekend? Besides going out on Chris's boat I could take you out for a sail, too. Weather permitting, of course.

Steve I sure would like to - I have a closing, knock on wood Thursday. Big storm supposed to be heading in then. Fri, Sat look like a wash out :( Lets see how the weather and work is. I might call Chris tomorrow. Short notice trip though, hard to do with family and work, ya know how it is. But my heart is in it smile.gif

It's a cute little Basset Hound in a fuzzy picture. Thanks for sharing, Kev Smith.
Looking at that picture has made me remember my old Basset, "DJ."
I fail to see the relevance of that photo on a thread about sailing in a wooden boat. Maybe you're wishing you had a boat instead of a dog, or maybe you're just trying to raise your post count.
Or maybe it's just meant to be an enigma.
