The National Journal has Gallup results from three days ago (http://nationaljournal.com/members/polltrack/2004/todays/07/0713gallup2.htm)

Without Nader:

All RVs LVs
Kerry-Edwards 51% 51% 50%
Bush-Cheney 43 44 46

With Nader:

All RVs LVs
Kerry-Edwards 49% 50% 50%
Bush-Cheney 41 42 45

(RVs = Registered Voters; LVs = Likeley Voters)

Check out the approval numbers:

George W. Bush:
Favorable 52%
Unfavorable 46

John Kerry:
Favorable 56%
Unfavorable 34

Hey there, little fella, do you "wake up dumb, or do ya work at it?" as you said the other day? :D :D

Pay attention now- the fifteen points comes into play when talking about:

1.) The current lead Bush holds over Kerry in Edward's home state- that would be North Carolina

2.) The expected lead Kerry should have over Bush at the end of the Dim's convention- the traditional convention "bounce."

3.) The final margin Bush will hold in the general election this fall. :D

Look at it this way:

Recent, national poll shows Kerry winning 51% to 43%.

You can sub-divide the demographics into white, southern, non-union, tobacco-chewing, NASCAR fans, if you like, but that don't change be big picture.

The election is the only poll that counts, and it's almost five months off. There's a lot of river between here and that bend. Are you going to continue this mid-brow banter until then? What a bore. :rolleyes:

A little history lesson for y'all......When Micheal Dukakis ran against Bush senior he had an 18 point lead at this point of the race!!!!
