Carving of George W. Bush Found in Egytian Temple

A LIKENESS of President George W. Bush, dressed as the god Anubis, was
carved into the wall of an Egyptian mortuary temple 4,000 years ago.

And an inscription under the carving names the president Khenty-Imentiu -- chief of the
    Westerners.

"The Ancient Egyptians believed that the realm of death lay far to the west, and that is why
they chose to portray Bush as Anubis, the god of the dead," says American archaeologist Verne
    Sackett.

"Someone, priest or sculptor, had the gift of prophecy and foresaw a time when George W.
Bush would be the most powerful man in the world.

"So intense was his vision of a future he could see but barely comprehend, that he carved the
president's likeness into the temple wall."

Dr. Sackett adds: "You know, you see something like this, and it's so shocking, so
unbelievable, you look around expecting someone to jump out from behind a wall and yell,
    'Smile, you're on Candid Camera.'

"But that didn't happen. This carving is real -- as real and ancient as the pyramids."

Egyptian antiquarian Dr. Mohammad el-Hartoun says the mortuary temple was built for a
priest of Anubis named Hothor, described in an inscription as "Keeper of the Treasury and
    Friend of the Pharaoh."

"The temple, discovered just two years ago but only now fully excavated, lies near the ancient
city of Luxor on the west bank of the River Nile," Dr. el-Hartoun says.

"Hothor was a very important official of the 18th Dynasty which marked the start of Egypt's
golden age, and for him to agree to devote a wall of his mortuary temple to an image of George
Bush means he considered this president a god, not only of that time but also of the future.

"Of even more significance, the Bush inscription describes him as 'Anubis, judge of the dead,
mighty conqueror of all the lands between the great desert and the Arak River; Lord of Egypt,
    Arabia, Mesopotamia and Persia.'"

Dr. Sackett says: "This inscription is a prophecy. It predicts that Mr. Bush will attack and
conquer Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Iran and will push all the way into Turkmenistan,
    Afghanistan and Pakistan.

"In his guise as Anubis, the black jackal god, they saw Bush as a mighty warrior and conqueror
who will carve out an eastern empire that the Ancient Egyptian pharaohs could only dream
    about."

The face of President Bush is seen in profile and was once painted black, representing the color
of human corpses after they've been embalmed.

Other experts who have examined the 6- by 3-foot carving agree that Anubis has Bush's
features and that the work dates back to the 18th Dynasty, which began around 1500 B.C.

"There is little doubt that the man the Egyptians wished to portray on the temple wall was
George Bush, the 43rd president of the United States," Dr. Sackett says.

"Time will tell if the great warrior's predicted conquests will come to pass."
