    P40 flying today - many images

    Following on from the Spitfire images - this P40 isn't owned by the aviation museum web page but is owned by Col Pay - one of the leaders in warbirds in Australia - who brought this P40 and his Australian-built Mustang to the flying day today.







    The other aircraft below are a Hudson bomber (the only one of these still flying) and the Mk VIII Spitfire. A Hudson, incidentally was fired on by the Japanese Malaysian invasion force just prior to the attack on Pearl Harbour - and the first Aussie casualty in the Pacific War was in a Hudson that was shot down. This plane saw action against the Japanese.
