I have finished the 8 gallons of cpes on my boat hull (freeboard and underwater)....and the 5 gallons of epoxy resin 3to1 waterline down.....now I'm applying a marine/industrial sherwin williams recoatable primer.....and the finish coat will be sherwin williams latest "state of the art" acrylic enamel sher - cryl....and the antifoulant will be copper 39% made by Inerlux.... So far everything is working out great...The products are really holding well and I had some great weather....It has taken me exactly 4 weeks to this point. Any objections or opinions would be appreciated....I'm considering airless application of the acylic enamel finish coat or by brush....any recommendations are appreciated....
Thanks Mark

Never used that particular Sherwin Williams industrial paint but I have been pleased with others. It's a GREAT idea to use the same manufacturer's primer and topcoat SYSTEM. The bad news six months later horror stories I've heard have always been when the hired in pro had his own favorite primer he always used.
If inevitably you are going to scuff, scrape, and need to touch up your hull ( it doesn't hug the road and stay a respectful distance from objects like something on tires) , you might consider backing off from the flawlessly sprayed showroom shiny "automotive" standard. A rolled and tipped finish with a one part enamel is a joy to do. You only mask the edges, don't have to cover up, uncover, wear face masks, deal with overspray problems, and get it all done in one go panic.
And it "mends" and blends much better.
Over spray is one of the most serious complaints a painter can face. There are dry fall paints out there for building finishes but I doubt that Sher-Cryl is one of them. Use a roller and a brush, that way you can paint to well defined stopping points if you need to.

Sounds like you have it under control. I favor the roll it on and then using the brush right away for fixups.
One thing for your bottom paint, add in plenty of cayenne pepper, it will absolpositutly stop ALL critters from munching on your boat. As for how much? with this stuff I am from the school of some's good more's better.
