My 'sunday afternoon , looks like a boat '( that thread has a few too many photos in it now I suspect) took a month to the day to complete after hours and in some weekend time. in between ,the glass tender we rely on for barging up the rocks got brought home and given a structural birthday if not a cosmetic one.
Anyway, the last varnish went on 2 days ago and the rope fender went on last night, rowlock bases screwed on and the painter was tied on. she's ready to do some work on our cruise starting in a few days time.

Very Nice, John! Looks dandy!

Is it about 8ft? Were your other two dingies getting a little small as the kids grow?

Oh to be cruising now... (sigh) We gotta get down to New Zealand....

Really nice, does that old treadle sewing machine still work? I met a fellow once who had used one for sail work in the islands.

6ft 5" Dave, for my 8 year old Boy.It's just big enough for the middle sized dinghy to fit inside. the thwart is a snap fit and you take it out to put the other one in. The smallest one drops off the end of the queue.( it gets left behind in other words). They've had a lot of use out of it though. I can't even think how old it is. 5 or 6 I'd think. I can still see Tom when he was just wee fella.... 4 or 5 perhaps, he rowed over to a nook in the rocks to look at a big black back gull. He sat there holding station in amongst the rocks with the swell taking him up and down a foot or so, eyeballing this gull from about 8 or 10ft away. It's been a good wee boat for them all. Zoe rolled it in some surf when she was 4 .LOL.

I'll hang it up somewhere.

Its been a hard year. a lot has happened. I need this break.I'm looking forward to it.

No Stiletto, it's just a base but we've another complete one inside . Its had a motor put on it at some time. It never even occurred to me to try it out. Kirsty has been just about screaming in frustration at the inability of her machine to punch out our new forehatch cover. I wonder..... Thanks for the idea.

Could this 6'5" carry 170 lbs? I love the lines. Would you consider sending out the offsets for the panels, for a price if necessary? Beautiful little craft.

Wow... great looking little boat! Did you consider a set of bronze oarlocks?
