Here are the latest pics. All in it took 21 days on the hard to remove the old transom (about 15 minutes with the chainsaw) rebuild it, replace the skeg deadwood and bolts (new copper bolts, made as we went), repair the damaged stringers, repair the self-aligning bearings on the shafts (forgot to take video of that), build new exhausts, re-bush one rudder post, build a new support for the rudder shafts (mild steel, eyeball bearings, and painted with POR-15 magic paint) and replace various steering components.
We are far from finished - still have to replace the rear deck over the lazarette, but that can be done on the water, also have to finish painting above the waterline and inside. So, to the photos:
Interesting shot of one of the five neighbours we had over our 21 days - a Norman Wright boat:

Last day rush to get some paint over the Everdure (a local product similar to CPES, I believe):

The new steering setup, not entirely painted - has resulted in a totally different handling boat. Steering is now possible with one finger, rather than a two-handed grunt:

Not a brilliant shot - well too much brilliant sunshine actually - but taken a few hours ago. Sorry about the tarpaulins, but that's the way it is at present. Just to prove she's back in the water:

Last, but not least - on the mooring, with a pile of timber on the side deck. This shot shows the new Queensland Maple cabin side up forward. The rest of the cabin sides will be replaced as per the front 8 feet or so.
