Well I've had my first experience with the TSA... I saw lots of people standing around, but can't say as I felt a whit safer. Having my stuff x-rayed, wiped, mass-spec'd, hand checked (including my dirty socks and undies) didn't do a thing for me. All I saw was $ floating away.

And did they presesnt you a copy of the warrant they're required to obtain before any search per the constitution?

TSA is, unfortunately just a paper moon. It's pretty much the same bunch of toothless yokels it was before, but now they get better benefits and more pay. My wife spent 15 years in airport service as an airline agent, and left one major airline as general manager of the largest non-hub station of that airline in feb 01 to become an airport analyst at another airline. She applied to become a TSA manager in july so she could be closer to home.... The goons she saw getting hired scared her..... Needless to say, she stuck w/ her old job.
Not to say all TSA agents are toothless goons...... but.....
