We had a holiday visitor, Jamie aka Uncas stop by. So I called Phil and Walker de dog and they stopped by to say hi as well.

Well all then took a ride over to Doves new resting place and spoke for a bit with my shipwright Eric about her progress.

Dove seems to be coming along well.

SWIMBO prepped a nice loin of pork dinner

All this is being posted almost real time as you would expect with Joe ( Cold Spring on Hudson )

Hey Lefty, Jamie said he got your call way too late as he was already on the road and in Danbury.

So I go over to meet one of my imaginary friends, Jamie Uncas, and there he was, a figment come to life, kind of like Santa Claus (resemblance notwithstanding)...

He's much younger than he comes across on the Forum, so serious & grown up & all, in real life, he's just a kid :D

It was a great afternoon, goin' over to see Dove & all...Some cool boat archaeology, as we find the secrets of her history slowly being revealed as Eric preps her for the face lift and hull implants...

This is good: I call up Joe, invite him & Jamie out to the local pub for a few Dark & Stormies...

Nah, says Joe, we're on the Forum, 2 computers blazing, post on top of post, this is great!

These are 2 devoted people, that's for sure, wouldn't want to interrupt their FORUM life with REAL life!!! :D

As they said in the 60's, "Reality is a crutch for those who can't handle the Forum" tongue.gif

Looks like fun you guys! But we won't be stopping by your place this time Joe. :( We just got back home an hour ago. Mary's got a cold and just wanted to come home to be in bed so we cut our trip short a day. Hopefully we'll see you and Phil here in March for the Maine Boatbuilder's Show. :D

Awww sorry Steven. Give Mary my sympathy, I utterly HATE colds, and the only place I would want to be is in bed, so I understand.

Oh by the way I went to the Post Office today, cause we cant get mail due to the bridge problem, and that package with the Ken Hutchinson's video you wanted was sent back to sender. Seems no one signed for it. I will send it again when I get the chance.

Jamie What ya think of Walker dog ? And Phil are they , Walker types, diggers ?

Ken Hutchins

Paul, you asked if they are diggers  Well, some don't like to dig like our Aelz, but Brody well where do you want the hole, how deep, how wide, you want it RIGHT NOW? OK :D
Phil, is Walker a digger also?

I'm so mad at our post office about that package! They tried to deliver it but no one was home to sign for it. But it said that they would try again the next day then would keep it at the post office. Knowing Mary would be home the next day I figured we were all set. But they never tried to deliver it again. So couple of days later Mary was at the Post Office but they said they didn't have it or know where it was. Then when we got home from NJ yesterday we found a message on our answering machine (from Wednesday) saying if we don't pick it up by 3pm they are sending it back to sender.

Sorry, it got messed up on this end, I wish I could've just picked it up at your house today. smile.gif

Happy New Year!
