I don't have any particular point of view on this... I just thought it was an interesting story:

Former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott blames his fall from power in 2002 on a “personal betrayal” by an ambitious Sen. Bill Frist, his successor, adding in a new book that President Bush, Colin Powell and other GOP associates played a role. Lott’s been in politics for over three decades and he still hasn’t learned that there is no honor among thieves, no loyalty among politicians.
You forgot you're playing in the Bush-leagues Trent.
I thought it was all the fault of the DNC.

If one backs way up and tries to get an idea of the big picture in US politics...Are we witnessing a sea-change in our public perception of politicians? I'm gitten tired of the lot...both parties...no, wait!...I have been tired for a long time...been carryin this lantern for a while and runnin low on oil and still can't find an honest one who is also in any position to help much...
