Sarah got her new deadwood and ballast keel put in place :D

The gap is because the false keel still has to go into place. This is just a "dry fit" to see how everything is going to work.

The whole business would be together already, but yours truly :( forgot to order bronze rod last week, and that set everything back by a couple of days. Then we got the rod in but another someone (not me for once  ) didn't consider that the rod - once cut and threaded - would need a nut and washer or two or thirty.

More later. Got a boat to catch...

Nuts and washers? Geougen Bros hung one heck of a keel on a boat they featured in "Epoxyworks" a while back simply by setting the threads in epoxy. The bolts didn't even penetrated all the way through the keelson. Ya coulda' saved your self some time. tongue.gif

Sure is good to see progress. That's gotta make you feel proud. Us too!

It's good to get a stalled project moving again.
I've recently re-started my project, stalled since the ladder incident in July.

Congatulations, Margo.

I'm still cleaning the gar....uh boatshop and trying to actually get to the boat, so I might see it and do something positive to it. :D

You're way ahead of me Margo. ;)

The weather will soon be crappy in Ohio but this winter will be different, because I'll have heat in the shop.

I am humbled at the size of your project too.
I would love to see more photos if you have any.

Ah, what pretty lines she has, Margo.

Warms the heart to look at 'em.

Congratulations on another step forward.
