When the normal people in the US have had enough of their neighbours owning enough guns to equip several lynch parties how will they go about disarming them?

If our politics keep going down this road we may need them to fight the next civil war

Do we really have to do this again?
My understanding is that your strict gun laws are a singular failure, with violent crime comparable to the US, in some cases, such as home invasion, armed robbery, rape etc, testing the limits of our so violent society.
"Oh, but those stats. are inflated because of violent drug rings that don't respect the laws."
Well guess what, outlawing things other than personal crimes only makes a black market, and black markets are inherently violent, including the black market in guns and drugs.
I live in the country, in Maine, one of the most gun friendly states in our union. I have no doubt my neighbors, some of them, have more than one firearm. I don't feel worried about any of them getting out of hand, in the least. If one does, I won't hesitate to shoot them. Comment

Oh, and I don't like the inference of 'lynching' being common. The last two which could be characterised so, the death of a gay man, and the death of a black man in Texas by dragging behind a truck(awful business both) are rare here. And both might have been avoided if the victims could have 'shot' back.Comment

The last thing you'd have found on Charlie Howard, a young gay man who met his end by being tossed from the bridge in downtown Bangor into the Kenduskeag because he was gay, would have been a firearm.Study PeaceComment

You're suggesting that gay men are less inclined to martial arts, to self defense against attack? What an interesting, homosexual-philic?(stereotypical), response.

I'm sorry for your loss of a friend, but if he'd had even a Baretta 25 in his coat pocket he might still be your friend.Comment
