dose anyone have any plans on how to make stands for a sailboat?

I have sketch-plans for a cradle that could be adapted to just about any sailboat in the 24-32 foot range.

or, did you want to weld your own "brownell style" screw jack stands?

I am looking o make my own screw type stands. my boat is 34'LOA and beamy.

I looked into this a number of years ago, and built a set. However, these days the commercial jacks are cheaper then the raw materials they are made of , and it doesn't seem worth the trouble. If you want to make some, try starting with steel house jacks, which gives you a screw jack and tube, then weld up a base. A glance at any commercial jackstand gives you the basic idea.
