Just how long are these good for? I bought a case for my cell phone just a little over a year ago and I told them at the time that I was rough on these and would probably have to have it replaced. Of course they couldn't imagine anyone breaking a cell phone swivil case, but I told them I've done it before and will probably do it again. They told me it had a lifetime warrenty and so I bought it and saved the recipt.

Of course 3 months later I broke it and they repleaced it. They were suprised that I broke it and they repleaced it no questions asked. So I still saved the recipt and now I've broken it again. The folks that really know me aren't suprised and neither am I. I guess we will find out this evening just how long the lifetime warrenty is good for.

How about this....

At the moment I work for a certain outdoor clothing manufacturer who I shall not name for risk of advertising....

We regularly take back products that are 2,5,10 years old happily. They (people) come in and we either fix the problem or give them a new product. It's just that simple.

What tends to happen is that they purchase something else while they're there as well.

Good Customer Service makes for dedicated customers.

I have a cellphone holder in my truck. I asked the same question about warranty. Yep, lifetime. After the third replacement in less than sixteen months, the store told me that the lifetime being referred to was the product lifetime, not mine, and that its life was now over.

Must be lifetime for ridin' in a Cadillac, not a 4WD.

(BTW, I "re-engineered" it a couple of years ago, and it works fine now. :D )
