I'm looking at that line that goes down her starboard side.
As an artist interested in human form and as a woodboat guy interested in well developed lines, I'd say she's got lousy sheer and maybe a bit hogged.

It's a sexist, crass objectification of women without body hair. It needs to stop, immediately. Mike, you would do well to tend to Sue's needs rather than panting expectantly at unreal images.

Thats my Dr. Laura voice. ;) ;)

To me, it is mind over matter...Does the matter posted have minds to go with it....?
Nothing personal folks but we...or most of us...probably looked good ( or a lot better ) at 20.. than say 55. ;)

Speak for yourself...I'm a good-lookin' double-digit hunk.

( 'Course they didn't ask ME to pose for the swimsuit issue...)

Touche Shang...some things do improve with age...As long as one's mind improves at the same rate... :D

Nora Lee

Women and Wine get better with age!!! Ask any Red Hatter!

All those skinny models are ruining the young girls in this country! Body image is all out of whack!

02-20-2005, 01:57 AM
I>"...Touche Shang...some things do improve with age...As long as one's mind improves at the same rate.[/I]

If all I had to depend on was my mind, I'd be pretty tame game.

02-20-2005, 07:06 AM
The body can get one into trouble...the mind can get one out.
I wonder what the percentage of married men vs. single get this issue anyway?

"If you guys can have unreal expectations, then so can I."

Yes you can Katherine.....but start your own thread please?

Besides, that dude is more than likely gay. tongue.gif

02-22-2005, 07:37 PM
All right Mike, since you asked nicely (and because you masculinity seems threatened)I'll take him down. I do, however, agree with Nora Lee. Images like the ones you guys have been posting really do mess with young girl's heads. Funny how you can dish it out but you can't take it.

Joe (SoCal)

Katherine as a father to a 7 year old I totally agree with you and Nora. You wanna see how persuasive body image is in our society, just ask my daughter. She is already wrapped up in the whole body image thing as early as FIVE years of age. It is a sad thing when your five year old daughter bows her head and looks up at you with sad eyes and says daddy am I fat? Cause I think I'm fat :( . Fat at five ? It is so scary how early they start with body image problems, I felt so bad for her and we sat down and explained the best I could with her mother that she is beautiful in every way.

We also stress the importance of proper diet and exercise. She is not Mc D Happy Meal child. We take her nutrition seriously, and she has a wonderful varied diet and a very active lifestyle. Oh and she is beautiful :D

02-22-2005, 08:23 PM
Fat at 5? Poor kid. To bad no one ever emphasizes that the swimsuit photos are retouched and even the models don't look like the photos. I don't see how anyone can find the photo of a model beautiful when you can count her every rib. Will someone please get the girl a sandwitch? There is a big difference between a healthy figure and being anorexic.

do you remember the three D swimsuit edition in 2000? I've always been a fan of 3d and stereo photos . my friend clair and his business partner darrin came over the morning I had found mom had passed away. clair was talking with me over the details as we waited for the undertaker to some because he had experience buryinghis folks also.

and we lok over at darrin who's got on the red and green glasses looking at the centerfold and saying " that darn hats in the wrong place"

joe you can tell your daughter that from the photos you have posted I didn't notice any fatness I just noted a happy kid proable because she has a good father and lucky genes from her mother ( note the eyes on both)

katherine sorry I missed your posting. I doubt I look like that nore am I inclined that direction but their is beauty in all fit animals.

Why do men always say the hunky male models are "probably gay"? Takes the pressure off? ;)
Not that I don't agree - can't see John Wayne types posing like pretty boys with half their clothes off, but it is funny that the men always say that. ;)

Chris Coose
03-01-2005, 12:09 PM
