Good mornin' good mornin'. Donald O'Conner dead at 78

He made me smile in the best American musical ever made, Singing in the Rain .

It's a true American classic, and even entertaining. I don't, generally, 'do' musicals but that film is a gem. The only other one I can watch without falling asleep or wretching is The Music Man. Largely on Robert Preston's performance.

Wasn't Debbie Reynolds in both of them? Wasn't she 'madame librarian'? There is an under-sung actress. Her dramatic performance in From Here to Eternity was first rate, and she could sing! And pretty! I think she much more beautiful than say Monroe.

Huh? You don't do musicals either Joe?

Edit: Oh I get it, because I posted late you find it further evidence of my pathology.

Give it a rest. I am who I am. I'm not like you and never will be. It's good to be what one is, unashamedly.

"Folly pursued with vigor leads to wisdom." Or some such nonsense. Blake, and many others, have said and lived that, not in so many words.
