Dave, a pleasure to read your posts. Have a happy and safe holiday with your family. smile.gif

And there was in that same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flocks by night.

And lo, the angel of the lord came upon them, and the glory of the lord shone round about them, and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them,Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was with the angel
a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

Glory to God in the highest, and on Earth, peace, and good will toward men.

Luke II. IIX to XIV

To all of you a happy holiday season with your families and friends. smile.gif

It will be a fine wet couple of days around here, not cold enough for snow. But the hugs are still as warm, the food is good, and the childern are smiling. We will go to our little Island church tonight, the kids will get to open presants from my parents and grandparents afterward. I will go to bed tonight counting my blessings, and probably beat the kids up tomorrow. May god bless you as much as he has me.

Merry Christmas to all

Well I can see everyone is getting a little sentimental. So in that vain:

Twas the night before Christmas,
and all throught the house,
nothing was stirring,
not even a mouse!

As dawn was breaking,
I crept outa bed,
and down the back stairs,
out into the shed.

I grabbed my old sander,
and started to smirk,
the deck would look beautiful,
with just some more work.

I to'd and I fro'd,
with my little machine,
whence across the back fence,
my neighbour did scream!

I put down my sander,
and raced out the shed,
and the look on his face,
filled me with dread.

I could see he was stressed,
his neck veins stood out,
and he ranted and raved,
as he paced about.

Relax I said neighbour,
no need to get stroppy,
I think what you need,
is a boat building hobby! :D

Yep, I got too much time on my hands. Cheers, D.

A very Merry Christmas to all forumites on this lovely planet from myself in Hong Kong.

Went for a stroll down Nathan Rd, Kowloon round midnight, and I kid you not, there was easily well over one hundred thousand people on the streets celebrating!

Dave, I've asked Santa to bring me just a little of your knowledge and experience.

Among my many blessings I am counting today is that I found this forum, which makes me feel almost sane as I begin a wooden boat restoration!
Thanls to all, and Merry Christmas!

Hi Dave. We've had a lot of fun here the past year or so, and I hope it continues. Just please stop talking about all that lip-smackin', belly-whackin' scrumptious California food! Especially Dungeness crab and cioppino. I keep thinking about it while I scoff down my sauerkraut and bratwurst. Happy holidays and all the best to you and Penny. Clint.
