Chili.
I ate two bowls yesterday evening. SWMBO also brought home jelly beans, so the baby (who's recovering from a case of strep throat) and I sat around watching movies and eating jelly beans.
About 1:00am, I was glad I put the seat belts on the toilet.
Now the house doesn't smell like chili anymore ...

Walked to my shop to do some glueing and to open the windows ...
On my way back saw an albino cardinal. Lovely pink.

(Well, no. Actually it was Trio, a mid '80's German punk band.)

My whole house smells clean. Cleaning lady was here this week.
Wish I could get her to clean the shop as well. smile.gif

Red beans and rice simmering in the crock pot! Subtley layered over the scintillating aroma of fresh polyurethane drying on the stairs.

Tonight it's cornbread with red beans and rice.
Even though red beans & rice smell good beforehand, I pity the poor fool when the after effects start rolling in. :D

Providing you use fresh spices and plenty of them, smells the same on the other side... :D

Shouldn't be a problem if you soak the beans for about 6 hours before you put the rest of the ingredients together. I don't know why this works but it does.
