Here is another weekly web quiz from another site. This one is easy, so here goes:

Why is it important to reverse the cutting direction periodically when using a tap-and-die set?
(a) So the cutting angle stays consistent
(b) To keep the workpiece from overheating
(c) To clear out waste material
(d) To prevent hand fatigue

ChadNone of the above.
There is only one cutting direction , clockwise (for a right hand thread) so reversing rotation does not result in reversing the direction of cut.
