Does anybody know if Traditional Marine Outfitters (Nova Scotia) is still in business? My phone number for them doesn't seem to be valid.

I new I should have bought more 1 inch bronze T track from them when I last ordered, since the stuff seems to be almost extinct.

The Nova Scotia phone numbers that I have for Traditional Marine Outfitters are 800-532-7634 and 902-363-2628. Don't know if they are still in business. I tried to buy some stuff from them a few years ago without much luck. I understood that most of their business operated out of Portland Maine.

I have had pleasant dealings with Pernell Muise at Marine Trader Hardware Sales in Meteghan N.S. 902-645-3352 or 888-376-7707. They seem to be able to source all kinds of odd stuff.

If you are looking for bronze T-track, ABI Marine has it in their catalogue. Marine Trader is a dealer for ABI, but it all comes through the States so you can probably find someone a lot closer to home to sell to you.

Wilson,

I think that your 800 and 902 prefixes are reversed as I have these numbers also. A reverse lookup of their stateside address indicates that this is also home of Portland Yacht Services at 58 Fore Street in Portland, Main.

I was still working from a 1995 catalog that they published, which was rather extensive (90 pages), but always had problems getting stuff. The last time I ordered (1997/98) from them I had T track back ordered for about 6 months before they got it to me. I wasn't in any hurry and the price was reasonable.

I just ended up ordering some track imported by ABI from Marine Mail Order in California. I got lucky as they just ordered a piece (14') for one of their good customers who only wanted 7', so I bought the other half for $100. Other wise I would have to have bought the full 14' piece. Of course I only really need 4' but I will find a use for the rest eventually. The interesting thing is that ABI ships it in two 7' pieces (UPS), but still requires that their retail outlets order the full 14'.
