Makore

Hello there,
I am considering using Makore for planking on a daysailer I am building. I know the wood has a few downsides (blunting of tools and possible irritation of skin) but it looks great. Would anyone know a bit more about the suitability for planking.

Density of 0.59 seems high for a small daysailer. How well does it bend? If it's dense, hard and/or brittle it may not work well for planking. You could use it for the backbone/floors/structural bits.
