My daughter lives less than a mile away. Last night before bed time the power went out and this morning we looked at three trees down in one corner of her yard. She lost two panels of her stockade fence as well. I'll be running the chain saw for a while it seems. The wind is still blowing in gusts up to forty mph...

My parents place had winds like that a few weeks ago. My poor boat lost it's canopy cover. The frame stayed but the tarp tooks off accross the fields. Dad and my brother in law had to go chase it down. I'm still looking for a better tarp to restretch over the canopy frame.

Kath...try that material they cover boats with for the winter shrink wrap...You put it up...heat the seams and you gotta pretty strong cover.

These are pine trees. They have a habit of breaking explosively when they let go. (missed their boat by about forty feet)

My first message. It was windy all the way back home from NW Arkansas, however, no rain. No trees down in my yard yet.

A loud WHOOMP woke me out of a dead sleep at 1130 last night.
SWMBO(On edge, cuz 12 year old SMWBO jr has a migraine) said,"Whassat? It sounded like someone kicked a canoe."
This morning there is balsam fir lying on the roof, blocking my front door.
Santa Claus dropped it off a bit early. :D
