That's weird, folks, don't know what happened to it...

A glitch in the mind of the machine? I left for a moment, and upon return...Poof!

Too bad, I thought it was kind of an interesting question...Maybe it was politically incorrect or something, I don't know...

Weird

Cool. Hey this forum has given me the opportunity to meet so many people I literally have to say I enjoyed and continue to enjoy meeting you all. Ol Oyster has even been to my house twice and I can tell you he is a true gentleman in person.

Here it is, a late night confession. I would love to go to the Wooden boat show this coming year.

Most of the ones I've talked to seem pretty normal.

Phil It sometimes straitens itself out no worries.

I posted this on the original thread I thought it was an interesting thought

The concept of lurkers is interesting. Figure at any given time there are about what 50 or so regular posters. And possibly 10's of thousands of lurkers. If us 50 or so posters were not to post the lurkers would not have any forum to read and enjoy. And occasionally draw a lurker out of the shadow to post.

So it's kinda like us active posting forum members are the substance of this forum our silly ranting and questions and advice ARE the forums media. We are all kinda like minor stars. :D Just think about the lurkers talking about oooh did you hear how Katherine bitched out PMJ and LeeG posting again an obscure link. Chads bitching, Tar Devil you may call yourself invisible but your still a movie star compared to a lurker. Oh and I can only imagine what they say about the comic stylings and bald head of ol Joe ( Cold Spring on Hudson ) :D

I had the weird experience of being at Condons Lumber and some stranger walk up to me and go "hey Joe" I was like hun who ???? They said Joe ( Cold Spring on Hudson ) I know you from the WBF  We then yammered like old friends. And ya know what we talked about a LOT ??? Yup all the other formites Like MMike and Sue and Meerkat and Ish and all the rest of you guys and gals. Then this year up at Newport I cant tell you how many people as I was walking through the show, just said Hi Joe. People I never saw before they just KNEW me. I went to the WoodenBoat Store booth to buy a couple of T shirts and hats and everybody there said HI JOE how are you doing what can I get for ya  Shocking and kinda funny.

Believe it or not Dave Fleming and I shared/ share emails about stuff after I made a ass out of my self . I've emailed him pictures of his old shop in Anacortes Wa. We've talked about thankgiving family stuff , We've never met face to face , so it ain't really the same. And Joe and I agree to disagree on some things sort of vie email.
I don't know really so much B/S goes on if we where all just sort of honest and just posted like , well Phil, Joe, Paul , Uncas, Concordia 41 , don't hide , the last two just have nice boats .

I know the web is full of people ready to rob ya , so this sort of total truth is hard but if some body wants to mess ya up they can just Goggle ya a old good coon huntin buddy of mine from Webester ,Ma. just googled me last week after 25 years , ya name phone # address etc . so why we figure we can hide on the forum is well BAGOSS .

And most folks let a name slip here or there and before ya know it your known , or infamous , or sometimes both

WE are family of sorts, all different, all going wither and yon. The Trolles never leave the safety of the key board so they are really no threat. (And Peter won't cross the border , so he's no threat .) IMO , Just my two bits on the state of the forum . Paul

Ah miss post saving till Phils org post comes up some where

I may cross the border someday... Like I say, the wooden boat show is a big temptation.

You could meet up with some of the forumites when Uncas goes to Nova Scotia.

PMJ, there's alway them big old jet airliners. With any luck I'll get to combine it with a business trip and have work pick up most of the tab.
