Also waiting anxiously. No info provided to me
that would suggest a likely shipping date.....
I'm really looking forward to receiving them.
Did you ever send away for something from a
cereal box when you were a kid? It's kind of
like that feeling, just seems like it's been a
longer time than it really is......

When I ordered, they said they would not be shipping for a week or so..
I checked my credit card - it hasn't even been charged to my account yet.
I'm sure all is fine smile.gif

Yah, sure. I sent for the decoder ring, and even bought one square inch of the Yukon Territory - the "deed" is long lost of course.
But 16+ days is way longer than shipping ought to take. Most stuff I've ordered w/ a card arrives in a couple of days max. Thus my unease....
Justifying the $88 to SWMBO will be hard enough. Getting "took" would be rather worse.
Nevertheless, I await on pins and needles

It occures to me that my impatient questioning might be interpreted as implying That Dave Fleming is party so a scam. I never thought that and don't want anyone else to suspect that.
Ready to order, it seems, did not mean ready to ship. It seems that the producer is a one-man-band and is swamped with orders. The decoder ring did, in fact, eventually arrive. I expect the DVD will too.
The ovalteen secret magic decoder ring has finally arrived. But the Howdy Doody show is no longer on to give out secret messages, so what do we do with the ovalteen secret magic decoder ring?
I once met a man who said- I ask no favors and grant no favors, I do not have any friends nor do I wish to have any friends. And life is a hell of a lot simplier. Hmmm....

Hi Dave - Well, we're converting number 7 out of 10 of the DVDs for Lofting. Should get close to finishing this weekend. You might want to post a reminder that the offer expires on the 20th - It would be good to know how many more we need to do so we can schedule the duplication and fill their orders quickly. So let me know what's up. Take care. Chip

Hi Dave - We finally got the last DVD converted today. Sorry it has taken so long. It is just real time consuming to convert 10 DVDs then duplicate each one. We will package them Monday and Tue and ship. I answered a few inquiries about it being late. Everybody has been understanding so far.
If you think it would help, I am willing to extend the deadline till the end of the month. You can post that if you want to. Let me know. Have a good weekend. Chip

Just wanted to let everyone know that I just received the 10 DVDs featuring Arno Day's, The Art of Lofting.
The DVDs, in my opinion, were worth the wait. They are professionally packaged in five cases with 2 dvds in each case running a total of approximately 9.5 hours.
In my opinion the film to digital conversion went well and I think the video and sound are good compared to other conversons I've seen.
I'm in the midst of reviewing the first video but I'd have to say the videos would be a good addition to any text and particularly useful for those of us who prefer actually "seeing " in addition to reading.
Make no mistake, this is not a high end PBS production. But its good solid "hands on" series of explanations and demonstrations of the lofting process.
Dave, thanks for making this happen!
Best regards,
Larry in CT
