Been a big fan of this show, but had never realized until watching Young Guns II (one of my favorite westerns) again last night the William Petterson, who plays Gil on CSI also played Pat Garrett in the movie.

This is a symptom is TVitis, matching characters with their previous roles. I have this malady too. The other symptom is noting how much older they look!

Well I'll be danged.
Thanks Chad.
The tv-itis files.
JR Ewing. no way.. he's the nice guy from I dream of Jeannie.
That doctor in ....? some medical soap. No way. He's Adam from Bonanza.

I don't much like that show. Too much science training in me. Even how good the stuff is you simply can't do it in an hour. I'm pretty sure it takes a day or two to run a DNA phoresus, if it's got the mayor's stamp.

But I've always liked Peterson. Damn fine actor.

I'll have to watch CSI: NY for the first time and report back. I'm guessing it's a geographical thing.

I mean...ya got one

Has George been Scotted...to languages..

Don't mind wandering. Guess I titled the thread wrong. I called it CSI and now everyone is talking about CSI and not how Garrett betrayed but utimitly be-friended William H Bonny.

Garrett betrayed but utimitly be-friended William H Bonny.

Think ya got this backwards!!!! :D

And Yup...putting CSI on the thread probably did not help...Actually I had a Honda CSI for a while...Originally thought you were referring to the Nevada model...
Oh...that was a CRXSi...Sorry ;)

Well the way it happened (in the movie at least) is that Garrett started out being Billy's friend and comrade. He than turned sheriff (betrayed) and tracked Billy down. In the end he let Billy get away and made out like he had caught and killed Billy so that the law would quite looking for him (the befriended part).

I never stole a horse from someone I didn't like. Did I like him? Hell no; I loved the son of a bitch. You asked me if I have scars? Yessir, I have my scars.Chad

Oh...seems like a little play on history...and historical facts...Guess it made for a better movie though...
I mean didn't Garrett in reality kill Billy the Kid?
