Sometimes the boat is more important than the camera... Just don't let it happen again! :D

Pretty thing! Looks great.

Yes it is A CLC Skerry. I built at WBS this summer
I built the Oars like Bob Smasler...
I have the sail kit but I have not finnished it yet, I also have to get the sail.
It rowed well but I am looking forward to getting
the sail but the cold weather seems to be comming quickly might not be untill spring. A funny thing happend when I was rowing a bunch of water went flying threw the daggerboard trunk, the only problem was I was sitting on that seat had not expected an enima on the high seas.(ok the local pond) ;)

The Jeep is a 1950 CJ3a mostly stock.

Real nice boat. smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif the jeep, cool ;) , other than the color it looks like the '47 my son has.
Looks like you launched the boat in Massabesic.

Yes it is the Massabesic, do you get over here often? I do not live far from it. Yesterday was so nice out got to drive around the city looking for a life vest for the child found one at All Outdoors. 2nd stop not bad for this time of the year the dog like the boat until I rowed incorrectly and got him and the child soaked smile.gif
Joe do you like your Xtera? I used my Jeep to launch my boat because I knew it could Make it the 1/2 mile to the boat launch and back, not sure if the X could make it.

I occasionally go there to fish or sail my RC model, I'm about 10 miles away on the Candia/Deerfield town line.

Chris, I love my X I have taken it on some gnarly back country stuff. The reason I chose the Xterra was because it was a REAL utility vehicle. Skid plates under the oil pan and tranny. I got the 5 speed stick 4WD. Its not the Jeep but it will go through more stuff than a Grand Cherokee

Was at Massabesic last Saturday for the first time in 30 years. The barn on the corner of Howlett road where I built my Mirror 16 is now crumbling into the dust. (Hell, so am I.)
Ya sure didn't have much colorful foliage up there. Thought I'd catch some good pictures while I was there. Not.

LOL! Sounds like you learned the hard way why C/B trunk caps were invented!
BTW..... Most folks launch their boats in spring, and haul them in autumn!
Beautiful boat! You're going to love it even more when you get the sail rigged up.
Nice Jeep too! I think perhaps we ought to have a Northeast Jeep-N-boat meet sometime next summer!

Very Nice Chris. You'll have a blast with it. I've had my Skerry out on the water just about every weekend since the spring.

I posted this on the CLC website a few weeks ago, but in case you didn't see it (a little something to get you through the winter)

Congrats on the launch. Every time I see boat launch photos I get a well-needed kick to get started again. Local launches are even better.... Let's just hope I launch before Ken with Tally Ho II ..... : )

Way to go, Chris.

Looks like you guys were getting farther in the center bay than we were lofting in the workshop next door.

Any chance of getting underway pictures before the snow flies?

I think the only proper dry-land picture would be the VW van (Chris is a renaissance man...) with your CLC kayak on top and the Skerry on a trailer behind. Anyone else agree?

Greg

You know Greg the trip back from WBS had my Kayak
and the skerry on the roof of my van, got all kinds of strange looks and you know I forgot to take pictures of it and then the picturs I took
while on vacation got lost when I reloaded my operating system on my comp. I Have had a touph time with pictures lately smile.gif . I hope to get it out more this year... my pond does not freeze until late in Dec. and there is always the river that never freezes smile.gif
