I have graduated from epoxy priming to actually starting hull assembly. Here are some pictures of the last couple of day's fun http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid56/p82058c541dfa8b3f4ad387a7ca6c273d/fc7233be.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid56/pb169cf789f1b1c4e5af2b228e0c40680/fc723275.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid56/p17f16ffc6bea8a9c05355c730a090afd/fc723193.jpg
This is a variation on "stitch & glue". The bulkheads are set up, the hull sides wrapped around with drywall screws holding them to the bulkheads, stem & transom, then epoxy fillets holding it all together. Rick

Nice work Rick! It's fun when it starts to take shape. Looking forward to more pictures along the way.

Fast, too! Wasn't that all just a stack of plywood a week or so ago? (And I like the shop too...)

Looks like you took advantage of the beautiful weather we had. Wonderful to epoxy when you don't have to turn up the heat. Will it be mostly painted or will you have a lot of brightwork or combo?

Yep, the weather has been fabulous, I had the shop doors open yesterday. I have been keeping track of my time and have just over 40 hours in so far. LILLY has only a bit of brightwork as trim pieces only. Hull & deck are painted, most likely I'll use Kirby's. Nevt step is fitting the bottom, keel & skeg. Rick

I have finished sheathing the hull with dynel & epoxy. The blue tape marks the predetermined waterline. Next is priming & painting the bottom prior to turning over. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid60/pb0f22cc05c4461411b356015415bca7e/fc475ec3.jpg

Hi Rick
WAY TO GO, I am envious. Want my next boat to be electric. Am considering LILY, also REDWING models. I and my lady are well padded individuals. Not sure LILY is big enough for us. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
