Hello All,

You may recognize CEIBA from a previous thread posted in the Design / Plans section of the forum (entitled: SAILCARGO INC. Building CEIBA in Costa Rica: Wooden, 3 Masted Square Topsail Schooner) (http://forum.woodenboat.com/showthread.php?229107-SAILCARGO-INC-Building-CEIBA-in-Costa-Rica-Wooden-3-Masted-Square-Topsail-Schooner), but I thought it was high time to have a thread in the correct location: Building.

The above photo is from late February 2019, showing three frames of our large ship hoisted up atop of the keel. To date we now have five frames up, with a 6th nearing completion. The stem assembly is also coming along very nicely.

Please do let me know if you have any questions, whether about the build, the shipyard (called AstilleroVerde, we're trying to purchase the land by the way!), or how we plan to operate a sailing cargo vessel successfully (be sure to ask me for our Business Plan, if you'd like!).

Thank you in advance for your consideration,

Danielle Doggett & the CEIBA Crew

The ocean is crowded with all manner of merchant ships, but unlike the status quo, CEIBA will be easy on the eye. Look forward to seeing her take shape.

Good Morning,

Thank you for your question! Our business plan is to provide a value-added freight service, carrying goods from Central America to North America, and more back South again. Our clients find our service valuable because we eliminate the carbon footprint in their otherwise sustainable supply-chain: most interest comes from producers of organic goods, such as coffee, cacao, avocado (oil), sugar, and barley.

Our project is completely funded by investors from around the world who want to make a difference. They will receive 32.6% ROI annually at optimal operation, alongside additional benefits.

We have a comprehensive business plan which shares most of our details and figures, which has been supported by multiple market research efforts, both in-house and contracted out. You may flip through it here: https://en.calameo.com/read/0055589201095e9c9b7d7

Please feel free to request a PDF via email, if you would prefer that.

Thank you again for your interest, everything we accomplish here at the jungle shipyard is thanks to our amazing fellow shareholders!

Best,

Danielle

Web site not working for me. Looks under construction, like the boat. No big deal, I'm sure you'll get both finished soon.

Thanks for info ^ and the best of luck.

This is how things will change. Nothing gets better waiting for the government to do anything, they won't. What an amazing project, I would love to fly down just to be a part of it. Not an option right now, but I would love to.
God speed on your endeavor.

Unfortunately working. Take it down asap, right now the numbers don't add up and it's obvious at a cursory glance. It makes you look bad.
