fairing keel

I need to fair my cast iron keel into my deadwood.
What is the accepted best method?
I've been doing alot of filleting with epoxy lately. Can I just use a similar mix of epoxy and wood fibers ?

Wouldn't it depend on what's getting faired? Keel or deadwood? And how much? Are you looking at gross disruptions or minor roughness?

Gross fairing on the iron may call for a grinder then surfacing compounds like on car body work.
On the deadwood maybe longboards then surfacers.

And are you match-racing and looking for glassy smooth non-turbulent flow, or do you just want it to look pretty good?
