Pompano Beach, FL...With a $4/hr raise...moving semi permanently it seems. Oh, and bricks to lay...actual bricks (I'm so tired of blocks and they require no imagination)

I'll get to look for a boat soon...(and I don't care WHAT it's made of...so long as it's made of seagulls and spume and sun-glint waters)
Great news Phillip. Really pleased for you.

Congrats.
Housing there is relatively inexpensive, depending on locale.
Find the worst house in the best neighborhood you can afford, buy it, fix it up & sell it. Up to $250,000 of GAIN on the sale of a principal residence, in which you have lived for two of the last five years, is ENTIRELY EXCLUDED from your taxable income. Some good brick work can really doll up a house... Joe will sell it TOP DOLLAR to some southbound New Yorker for you... :D
