I feel like cleaning up is the death of hope. When it's messy, there is still a chance I will find that whatsit I've been looking for. Right now it's a brad nailer. I can never find anything afterwards

We have reached an uneasy truce.

She likes the smell of a freshly cleaned house. So I pour a little Clorox in the sink before she visits. So far it is working.

Sometimes, when my wife is out of the house, I'll drag the vacuum out and plug it in. I'll leave it in the middle of the floor.
That's usually good enough.
