Weird magic Brian. I do hope you aren't the one in charge. Not of the funky funky but, when the fire comes down. I'll be swallowed by some cyber whale and end up poop rather than prophet.

So... you aren't the mind behind the mask, are you? http://media5.hypernet.com/~dick/ubb/wink.gif http://media5.hypernet.com/~dick/ubb/smile.gif

Hey!

Did I ever mention that while working in Frankenmuth, "Michigan's Little Bavaria," I participated in what Guiness has listed as the "World's Largest Chicken Dance?"

Just seemed like an opportune time to bring that up.

No, it's not a hammer after all, since he is gesticulating with both feet. It must be some kind of semaphore, conveying deep and important thoughts to anyone who can comprehend. It obviously has meaning to you guys who can reproduce his movements. The next objective is to communicate with him. From the look on his face he is obviously quite frustrated that no-one is replying. I suggest we enlist Beowulf, who apparently has had the most experience with wing-flapping.

Demented emu indeed! You're talking about his Majestic Fowlness the King of Miscellanea. A little respect, please.

What's your question, exactly?

Right click on his noble beak, then click "PROPERTIES", then "COPY" the URL. Open a REPLY, then PASTE the URL to the reply. Put before the URL, and after it, like so:

Now imagine... having gotten the pesky little glowing chook onto your hardrive you then begin muckin about with it in some graphic program lets say Paint Shop Pro for instance then having mucked him about so that he isnt quite so bright and whoopty do about life rightsideup... you turn him on his head and introduce him to the land of upsidedownus...

NOW..... having done all that how do you get him back here to show of all his glory?????? no url to link to so how does he come back to visit all you good folks?

Well, Shane, you sure have put King Funky Chicken into an awful state. He spends all of his time glued to the PC awaiting the agonizingly slow emergence of his potential usurper, Demented Emu. Your cleverly presented psychological warfare has effectively diminished King Funky Chicken's resolve, and we fear for his capacity to continue in his role as ruler of the Kingdom of Miscellanea. We anxiously await
Demented Emu's appearance, since he not only might replace King Funky Chicken, but is being presented as the potential ruler of not only Miscellaneous, but the whole Forum. Be forewarned: Building/Repair is still a formidable political force. Although outnumbered by Miscellaneous, we have quality on our side. Demented Emu will be subjected to close scrutiny concerning his acceptability as the new monarch.

Well, Shane, you certainly have put King Funky Chicken into an awful state. He spends all of his time glued to the PC screen, in anticipation of the appearance of his potential usurper, Demented Emu. His remarkable fidgeting has increased to the point that we dare not exhibit him. Your cleverly executed psychological warfare has reduced materially his capacity to attend to affairs of government.

We anxiously await Demented Emu's debut, since he/she?? is advertised as potentially the ruler not only of Miscellaneous, but of the whole WB Forum.

Be forewarned: Building/Repair is still a powerful political force. Although outnumbered, our strength is in our quality. We shall subject Demented Emu to the closest inspection. To that end, a Committee is being formed.

The Committee to Subject Demented Emu to the Closest Inspection, mentioned in a previous post, has been formed and dispatched to Oz. The members, Fredo, Rocco and Guido, are charged with locating and interrogating Demented Emu and his coterie to determine his suitability as a candidate for the kingship of Miscellaneous and the motives of his supporters. We anticipate that our Committee will receive a warm welcome in Oz and will be given every opportunity to perform their duty.

Bruce, that looks like a Disney-inspired tri-part cross among a Muscovy duck, an Araucanian chicken and a wild turkey, none of which is native to Oz. Eb's emus are closer to the mark, but I would mistrust any royalty that habitually steps on its own toes.
It is too soon to expect a report from Fredo, Rocco and Guido, whose mission is to ferret out the real Demented Emu and evaluate his qualifications as the potential King of Miscellaneous. At this stage there seems no harm in considering Ol' Bookface as yet another candidate. He at least has experience as Interim King. Just how Funky Chicken took over from him is still an appropriate matter for investigation. Perhaps we need another Committee.
One thing is sure: Miscellaneous is overdue for direction leading to stabilization and lowering of the nonsense quotient.

Good for you, Bruce! Your first suggestion looks like a Disney-inspired tri-part cross among a Muscovy duck, and Araucanian chicken and a wild turkey, none of which is native to Oz.
However, the other one looks like a winner. He/she/it is certainly lively and talkative, and looks much like an emu. It will be interesting to see if Shane thinks so--after all, he is the resident emu expert. Next to be determined is the degree of dementia he/she/it demontrates. We can't promote just any emu as the future King of Miscellaneous.
Perhaps the answer lies in the inspection by Fredo, Rocco and Guido. We anxiously await their report.
In the meantime, the idea of resurrecting Ol'Bookface as yet another candidate has merit. He has experience as Interim King of Miscellaneous. At least the way he was cast aside in favor of Funky Chicken bears re-examination. Do we need another Committee?
This matter of an appropriate ruler for Miscellaneous is approaching the critical stage. Given the rumblings about major re-organization or even abolishment, what is needed is steady, rational and constructive leadership. We are lucky to have such qualified candidates as Demented Emu and Ol' Bookface. I see little to choose between them.

Wow! Yet another candidate? If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck...etc., etc.
If we get too many fowl candidates I fear that Ol' Bookface will have an edge, on the grounds that it will be difficult to choose among the feathered hopefuls. Can he be induced to make an appearance? Or is he still in a fit of pique over being deposed by the likes of Funky Chicken?

[Please pardon the slight duplication in my last two posts. My office PC sometimes does not deal with replies on this site very well.
