View Full Version : Water got in! what's this yellow stuff?

Looks like I didn't wrap parts of SWIFTWOOD up enough, or provide enough ventilation.

I've got a yellow substance, I assume is expoxy blush, seems to sand off. But I've also got dark spots :eek: on the surface of the wood. I've more worried about that.

Think it will come off with a little sanding?

could be, I don't know how epoxy reacts to bleach. :(

I found out how it got it. Seems the tarp I choose didn't respond nicely to the Sun, it actually crumbled apart in my hands!

What kind of wood have you got and are the spots under varnish?

it's epoxy covered okume, which is why it's weird.

that should have sealed all that stuff out.
