And your parents are defending Kavanaugh and you are sexually assaulted, who would you turn to?

from the stories I have read, most girls are assaulted at that age, usually by their peers. I know my sister was. Like my sister, most of them never say a thing. I only found out about my sister from a friend she confided in decades ago when it happened. Maybe they went to a party they weren't allowed to go to. Snuck into a bar, went to a "friend's" house. They were already in a situation they were not supposed to be in, they fear not only what society will think of them, but of the results of their going where they were not supposed to be.

It's a sad situation. I see the point of your question though. If you were a girl who did want to tell their parents they had been assaulted, how could you tell your parents if you know they support Kavanagh. These people are so concerned with "winning" that they don't realize that the "all costs" part includes their soul

Guess we could take this a bit further. Many support Kavanaugh BECAUSE he will overturn Roe.

Let's look at after that's done, abortion is illegal, and their teenage daughter gets raped and is pregnant.

I have a lot of trouble getting my head around all of this.

I do realize that we were warned and 2016 was the election that could have avoided this. If this man does get confirmed, he'll remain on the court for years no matter how this November's election turns out.

Thanks. I have no idea how I missed that.
