Saw a wicked cool house/boat on Put-in-Bay last week.

Can you imagine coming into view of that in the night, in the fog, after several hours of intensely trying to make sense of your location?

Hazard to navigation!

Former lake freighter, Benson Ford, of the Ford Motor Company fleet of lakers. Launched in 1924, sold for scrap in 1981.

The pilothouse, dining room, parlor, and staterooms appear as they did when the ship was in service. Below, a game room, kitchen, and garage has been added.

Suggestion for the owners. Put in bay.

Wasn't that posting in a Bilge thread about weird/cool/different houses a year or two ago?

But yes, that is a cool house.

I think it was featured in Fine Homebuilding magazine a while back also. Fun!

I don't think they can kedge off.

You should contact them. I bet they'd appreciate someone with your wide and varied experience in the process offering to help. <G>

At that price, why not go for the ultimate?

I saw that last weekend.

The mooring taxi was fun. The poor kid picked us up and decided to pick up 3 passengers from a Parker moored down the line a bit. The kid tried to throw the taxi into reverse at the last minute, misjudged and hit the Parker pretty hard. Oops...
