    Historic quote of the day

"Can you believe that, with all of the problems and difficulties facing the U.S., President Obama spent the day playing golf. Worse than Carter"
    --- Donald Trump, in a 2014 tweet
Posted just for a little perspective.

FWIW: Trump has played 89 rounds of golf in the least year... one round every 5 days, on average.
"Reason and facts are sacrificed to opinion and myth. Demonstrable falsehoods are circulated and recycled as fact. Narrow minded opinion refuses to be subjected to thought and analysis. Too many now subject events to a prefabricated set of interpretations, usually provided by a biased media source. The myth is more comfortable than the often difficult search for truth."

Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.

As a forum rightie i never complained about obama playing golf, however its a stupid game..

We like to watch NASCAR, play horse shoes, play drinking games, mud race trucks and practice our rebel re inactmeant battles at the trailer park.

Politics. Yawn. Especially the petty, "my dog's better than yours", count the number rounds of golf each played at this point during their term! And look at what they said when they were a candidate! Shameless!

I don't recall Obama even mentioning golf. He golfed about 58 times in 8 yrs. Now Trump mentioned that Obama played too much golf, sometimes when there was some crisis and he's played golf at least 89 days his first year, ISH!

He may be a good golfer, but that photo looks like he's deep in the weeds (rough), at least on that hole.

You obviously haven't read much about him if "ninny" is the best ya got to characterize him Jack or are you just ignoring what you've read?

This might be just my bias, but, considering the few things we know for certain about that golf****er, do we suppose he actually scores his rounds honestly? Do I think he's a cheat, and without any evidence at all? Negatory. I know he's completely, and reliably, dishonest about every other thing he might say or do or anything else that occurs to him in the moment. So of course, I am certain, that while golf****ing, and in every future reference to any particular golf****ing outing or event, his personal account of his prowess and performance will be sportsmanlike and honest. Un huh. He probably has NDAs with certain golf****ing buddies and other golf****ing enthusiasts. I kinda wish he were into bowling. That'd be fun. Can't talk to the Japanese prime minister until after league. Getting out of the black limo in a bowling shirt with a golden ball and bag. In another life he might even have made a good pro wrestler. Cape. Orange mask.

Remember that this is the clown who drives his golf cart across the greens, one of the biggest sins in the game. Of course he cheats and anyone playing with him certainly isn't going to rat him out.
He's also the biggest hypocrite alive, calling out Obama for golfing a little bit while he spends more time on the golf course then in the Oval Office.
I was born on a wooden boat that I built myself.

The is a photograph of the abject failure of human decency. But finally Mrs. Trump is able to smile like she means it for a change.
A society predicated on the assumption that everyone in it should want to get rich is not well situated to become either ethical or imaginative.
