I talked to a woman who is struggling with not liking her husband. She doesn't know exactly what she does like, but she doesn't much like him. Not that there's anything really wrong with him, he doesn't beat her, is responsible, a good husband in all conventional ways.
But she's dissatisfied. And, in the heat, she's probably going to stay.
I kinda wish she'd move on. She's a friend. Gawd, three kids! They don't have the chemistry.

You would take it, so.
There's a great scene in "Jesus's Son."
Billy Crudup has, in desperation, taken a huge dose of mushrooms. He ends up with cotton balls singing wacky songs in the ER.
Now, frankly, I've never been there, but I can relate.
"Farther along we'll know all about it
Farther along, we'll understand why.
Cheer up my brother
Live in the sunshine
We'll understand it
All by and by."
Gawd, the rain is coming down. I'm glad it ain't snow.

You wish she would move on? And the good husband, what about him?

I repaired a bicyle today. My daughter brought it home for a friend who couldn't pay for the repairs and thought it a lost cause. It was only missing the front quick release and needed a couple tubes. There was dirt packed into the hollow front axle and the chain was very rusty. I'm sure she had taken it to a shop where the replacement of the chain, cassette, tubes and misc. labor would have cost $125. Slathered the chain with WhiteLightning.
It was a good 15yr old Cannondale. Still is.
You know, a guy who doesn't beat you. That's security.

That's cool Lee.... I was working in the shop today, installing the piping for my Dust collector. I went to Home Depot and got some more piping, then forgot to get duct tape. I phoned Julie at work and she bought some on the way home.

Of course she could be beating him... reminds me of that old blues song:
"Ever since my masochistic baby left me, I've had nuffin to hit but the wall"
It's a real knee slapper.. a face slapper even.
Made a good salad, spinach and baby greens, aged white cheddar crumbles. Cooked some broccoli and now the house smells, maybe I should light some incense?

It's pouring, hard rain. January, figure.
Long history. I've talked and worried about them for over a decade, and they still kept popping kids.
I like both of them, and I can't say what either of them should do.
I once contemplated what a person needed. For a long time I thought they needed an opposite, someone to complete their lack. That may work, for awhile, be good. But at a point a person needs someone just as mad as they are.
She could be dissatisfied. Maybe Jack empathetic nature elicits disatisfaction? Could be that she's not getting enough iron?

Sweet. What do you want, you want perfect, all figured out? It ain't gonna happen.
She, my friend, is trying to figure it out. I said I hoped she'd leave, as she's planning to do, because he doesn't fit. But I could be wrong. My Christ, they've got three kids together, so she better be pretty sure.
gazing in other peoples navels isn't sweet.

If you wanna talk about how life ain't perfect, Ish, how much time do you have?
But a couple with 3 kids splitting up ain't sweet. Not for the kids... not for the "good husband"... not for anyone. Sure ain't fodder for a internet thread titled "Sweet information."
I, for one, would be the last one encouraging her to leave. There are better options.
Why did I do this? My meds must be screwed up... otherwise I'd never get involved in a thread like this.

speaking of which there's nothing better than a plate of navel oranges peeled, sliced thin and spread on a plate. My grandmother had them served that way.
Phil, it's understandable,,you think Jacks words correlate to something real. But look at the path he has to go to come up with "sweet". Nope,,he's speaking Jack.

HEY!! I member this thread!!! Whaaaaaaahoooo someone dredged an old thread up... excell... eeerrr whats at? a new thread??? But didnt we do this months back? Im sure we did!
Soooo why we doin it again? Jack mate its their issue let them deal with it okay she will do what she thinks is best for her... I guess at this stage he dont matter a shyte its her... I guess also that the kids dont matter shyte its her too... otherwise choices she can make may change that decision you cant make em
And it aint "sweet" for any of them... even her! shes not happy about it shes wrestling with it her emotions are all over the ballpark about it... you can be bloody sure it aint "sweet"
Unless you have pretentions to step into the frey and covert her? seeing as its at least the second time youve posted about this couple and their relationship problems intended breakup I do think theres probably a good chance that you do even if sub consciously... maybe you better post a thread about that eh? title it something like "The vagories of my mental stability related to my subconsous desires to have my freinds missus" Or "Sweet sent of my friends wife" something like that...
mmmm oft times my friend I do worry for you your sanity your isolation and your need for a good... what do they call it nowadays?? root? nah thats Aussie so you probably wouldnt get it... ahah!!! Eureka!! I got it a good bonking!! :D

I'm screwed so tight it squeaks, sometimes. I come here to let it out. Sorry if that seems weird, and thanks.
I've gone out of my way, over years, through his affair and her fussiness, to do my little part to try and help them be together.
They're both good, interesting people, and in my book you don't have a passel of kids together and then leave. Not when one is barely out of arms, anyhoo. Not when the main issue is that both are a bit bored.
The talk was sweet. As in miraculous, human, dear. I think my taking it so, rather than judging, has helped, but I never know. Good intentions, sweetness, will oft go astray. Maybe she should leave. If she doesn't, more to the point if she keeps dithering, HE's liable to.
Sweet. story. And, BTW, she's welcome here, as is he. They have a bunk, but that's all. smile.gif
The Truman Show,,that's what we got here. Sweet like Jim Carrey
