The Star

The sundown of a dream to us all
In the dying fire, failing hope, the silent wood,
When the Oak at last is barren in the fall
And when the eager questioning has left the mind.
The sundown of a dream, when ships are lost;
When home no longer holds the heart, when flight
Are smaller on their voyage south..the cost
Greater than the strength, taller than the heights;
The running out of time, old virtues cast aside,
Old values left unused along the way.
And yet there is for all a changing of the tide,
A slim, faint glimmer of a better day.
Just as the sun fades, as the last light leaves
The sky, a star, a small and special beam
Appears to everyone who still believes
And carries to the world a bright new dream.

EDJ'68 Merry Christmas folks!

I love using the birth of Jesus as an excuse to celebrate, and close out the year in convivial communion with friends, family, and other loved ones.

I'd love if we celebrated Jesus' teachings year-round --
