Ford Motor Company sues John Cena for $500,000

    .
WWE superstar John Cena, 16-times world champion, is being sued by Ford Motor Company for a half million dollars. He purchased a Ford GT and then sold it in violation of his purchase agreement with the automaker:

According to the lawsuit, Cena was contractually obligated by Ford to hold onto the vehicle for at least two years. Ford, which is only producing 250 of the supercars a year and carefully selected buyers out of a pool of celebrities and Ford enthusiasts, alleges that Cena "unfairly made a large profit from the unauthorized resale flip of the vehicle, and Ford has suffered additional damages and losses, including, but not limited to, loss of brand value, ambassador activity and customer goodwill due to the improper sale.

Ford says Cena told the company that he sold the vehicle, and other property, to "pay bills."

They’ll never find him. No one can see that guy, apparently.

    Peace,

Did the sale 'agreement' include a penalty for selling the vehicle within the two-year term? Eg sell back to FORD, a penalty on a reducing sliding scale depending on how many days of the two year period he held it?
      Anything?

This sort of agreement is not unusual among the super car manufacturers. As just one example, Ferrari insists on the same sort of agreement when they offer to sell their most exclusive cars to those on their list.
