That jump was actually made by Bud Ekins, because nobody wanted the face to get hurt. Ekins also drove the Mustang a bit in Bullit.
And he kept Von Dutch alive for years... Thanks for that, Bud.

Steve McQueen was a hell of a rider, someone else doing the job aside. He did the Six Day International Trials ride in '64, among other races
