The figurehead fell off?

Hope that worked out alright, precarious and with the boat under way dangerous.

The next plunge might float her back up.

If she doesn't want to drop from there, she can lower herself closer to the water on the bobstay. Maybe should been wearing a PFD, eh?

its not the drop that's worrisome. . .

Looks like she might have been having a bath in the collected jib water prior to the upset.

Hopefully she swung a leg up over the bobstay and the guy on the foredeck jumped out there to help.

The next plunge might float her back up.
During a big storm in WW2 in the Phillipines a sailor was washed off the bow of dad's corvette, and picked up by the fantail amongst the depth charges on the next plunge. Broke his mind, they had to lock him up till they could transfer him home.

I believe that's the reason they did away with bow sprits on the fishing schooners.

She has her hands gripping the net which is easy to hold on to. My guess is that she was able to get out of this by herself. For certain some of the female crew of the Maine schooner I was on a couple years ago would have had no problem.
