Honda had/has a metallic green that looked like a beetle shell that I always thought was kinda cool.

I had a Ginetta G15 that was re-sprayed that colour. It's very similar to the 'Bamboo' colour they used on 2CVs and Renault 4s.

If green was the color most associated with Brit cars.... and blue was most associated with French cars... and red was most associated with Italian cars....

...what color is most associated with German cars?

(As an aside, I recall when pumpkin orange was popular... MGB's and Porche 914's... always liked that color, myself)

White.
Silver was when they left the paint off the pre-war Mercedes racing cars to save weight.

The peoples of Great Britain, the Pacific NW, and the rainier bits of France (among others) are exempts... as they need ANY spot of color beyond gray they can find. <G>
