Garden fresh vine ripened heirloom tomatoes on B-L-T's!
Tonight, rather than plain sliced bacon we started by roasting a bit of pork belly.
Hog heaven. . .

Homemade frence onion soup, onions from the farm stand, sweet corn from there as well, I'm preparing one raised bed for hardneck, another for fall greens, no homegrown tomatoes for another year due to blight takes three years for it to die off.

A farmer we know had a special at the farmer's market this morning- six ears of corn and a pound of ground beef for $10. Best corn of the season and the burgers were great with a nice onion sauce. Onions from the farmers market, too.

My honey and I went blackberry gathering a few days ago and she made a delicious cobbler that we augmented with French vanilla ice cream. Fantastic!

We ate a bunch, then froze some for crumble with regular old vanilla ice cream. :) (I think they bake better if the freeze first)
There are still some in the fridge I'm going to eat right now...

Peace,
Robert

Yeah. Ours are on the trellis/arcade thing. :) I'm pretty sure I posted flower pics earlier, but I think they were on BotoPhucket, so they evanesced.

Peace,
Robert

Spent a hot sunny day doing yard work so whipped up a batch of blackberry / coconut milk vegan ice cream. Sensational!

Down here tomato sandwiches are like a drug for some of these guys. They go nuts when the season hits ( much earlier than in Paul's Michigan).
