Hey there only 38 in Virginia, our hate must be slipping! I guess that's why all the outsiders had to come to Charlottesville to cause the trouble.

The good news is there one specifically targeting gays! Yeah, don't I feel special.

Hey Daniel they are called: Public Advocate of the United States. And they are in Falls Church if you like to join them.

I was surprised to see one in LaPorte, a mere 3-iron from my pub. I thought that couldn't be right because that crazy old Peters guy has been dead a while. Seems his son is grifting pretty hard on the internet and letting us know that the coming eclipse is a sign from god and we are screwed, for the realies, this time.

Not sure how the hate designation applies but after reading about the eclipse I am going to leave it to others (splc) to do the research. Hmm this gets interesting, may have to do some more poking around.

That's one too many....... And you are special..... Every one is in their own way . ... Good or bad

You are good, and I am proud to consider you my friend ....... " Gay " does not enter into the equation.
I have friends
No " black" friends
No "Jewish" friends
No " what ever " friends

Simply friends......... Oh sh!t......... There goes that RWW status again.......

Interesting map. 2 Klan groups on Long Island!
Glad to see none reported in Beaufort.

Too many in Oregon. For a while, there was a pipeline from Appalachia to rural Oregon. It shows. We used to have a very robust KKK presence. <sigh>

I recall reading about a punching in Pasco WA in the early 50s, and a huge KKK gathering in Issaquah WA in the 20s.

Philip was the first to mention either Trump or the south. Although there were some southern states mentioned along with some northern ones.

Follow up: I'll start with a disclaimer, the following is in no way meant to disagree with or diminish the work that the SPLC does. The reason I am posting my findings is because some might find it interesting.

Finding out that a hate group is in the neighborhood is disturbing, especially since we thought that hate group was long gone since the 90s. After some poking around I found out that the Peterson group is still acting like they are in a church in LaPorte, which seemed odd because it is abandoned. Records show that the state took that over in 1993, but the website acts like they still have sermons there. The actual group is a family up in Wyoming who do tin foil hat style podcasts and news letters on the internet. In conclusion it is disturbing that there are people like that, but comforting to verify that there is not an organized hate group active in our community, or at least not active enough or large enough to be on anyone's radar screen.

YMMV, cheers
