Thanks to the holidays, we found the time to almost finish the decks.
Today we encapsulated them with a thin epoxy.

Wow - the latest batch of photos on the web site depict amazing progress.

The second of the five (392b) really reveals the superb quality of the materials and workmanship.

Great stuff, and thanks for sharing!

Thanks everyone.

The engines, that's another story.
After we received them, it looked like they had not run for several years, so we completely dismantled them.
Within a few weeks we will take them to someone to be bored. After that we will have to buy several new parts (pistons, rings, gaskets, covers, etc.) and we will start rebuilding them.

I will post some pictures as soon as we have some that don't look as bad as they do now.

Regards,

Martien.

Martien, I get serious ***pucker factor*** whenever I see someone 'freehanding' a piece on a shaper like that! Tell me that there are some safety devices not seen in the photo?

Hello Dave,

You're absolutely right.
We have alle the safety devices you might want, but you probably know that sometimes when you want to make 1 or 2 items, you "forget" to use them.

Although I must say that the man on the photo is the most skilled and experienced person I have ever met, I won't show the photo that is taken when he "freehanded" the inside of the wheel. ;)

He posted to his web site two weeks ago that he would have more pictures posted soon. The new little one slowed him down some. smile.gif

Hello everybody,

I just see that it's more than a year ago that we posted the last picture.

That boy and also some busy days at work took most of my time.

A few weeks ago we started again and you can find the latest pictures at the website.
I will post some here within a few days.

Best regards,

Martien

A few weeks ago, after more than a year of not touching one piece that smell's like a boat, we looked each other in the eye's and decided that we had to go for it.
We started again.

Right now, Freddie is updating the website, so within a few hours, maybe days, you can see the last pictures we've made.

Best regards,

Martien

You sure are able to work clean! I'de have that gooey stuff in my hair like hair gel; er, no I wouldn't, I don't have any. ;)

Martien- did I count 6 different guys working on those boats? Where do you get that kind of man power? All of us that work alone are mightilly impressed.

I will post the latest pictures in a couple of days. Right now we are preparing the dashboard, steering, sidepanels, etc.. These things take a lot of time.

I think that about 98% of alle the labour is done by Freddie and me.
There have been several guys (and girls) that helped us. For example when we had to turn the hull and when we removed all the staples.

Though there have been a lot of friends and colleagues that liked their picture taken with some kind of tools in their hands.
